Beyonc's BeyGOOD Providing Financial Assistance to Texas Residents

Beyoncé is always looking out for her home state of Texas.

Yesterday, the singer announced via her charity initiative, BeyGOOD, that she has teamed up with Adidas and Houston-based disaster relief organization Bread of Life to help provide financial relief to Texas residents currently suffering from the aftereffects of Winter Storm Uri. The unprecedented winter storm hit the state last week, leaving millions without electricity, heat, and even running water amid extreme freezing temperatures.

Those in need and affected by the storm are encouraged to apply using the organizations' Disaster Relief Assistance Application Form, which, if approved, will grant individuals up to $1,000 in aid to help with unforeseen costs following the storm. Those outside of Texas can also donate to Bread of Life to help further provide assistance to those who need it.

"We send our prayers to those impacted by the winter storm," read a tweet posted by BeyGOOD.

Beyoncé's sister, Solange, also encouraged her network to send support and assistance to Texans, and shared that she had recently donated to a mutual aid fund in Houston.

"We are so grateful to @solangeknowles for her significant donation to our post-freeze housing relief efforts," wrote the Mutual Aid Houston Twitter account. "The Houston love is REAL. #HoustonFreeze"

Solange then responded to the tweet, expressing her heartbreak over how her hometown has been affected by the storm and her gratitude for the work the organization is doing.

"Sending so much love back home, and im committed to doing more..." wrote the musician. "My heart breaks man. thank you for all the endless work u guys are doing on the ground."
